Hadith-e-Nabwi # 31

"Sahih Al-Bukhari Volume 8, Book 76, Hadith # 572
In the end of this very long hadeeth it quotes Anas (Radhiallaahu Ánho) relates from Rasulullaah (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) "and if one of the women of Paradise looked at the earth, she would fill the whole space between them (the earth and the heaven) with light, and would fill whatever is in between them, with perfume, and the veil of her face is better than the whole world and whatever is in it."

This show that even the women of Jannah have veils and the word veil is what covers the face (niqaab)."

Hadith-e-Nabwi # 30

The Holy Prophet [s] said:
"Fie upon that Muslim who does not allocate (at least) one day a week to the study of the details of his religion and to explore (the affairs) of his religion."
— Bihar-ul-Anwar, vol. 1, p. 176

Hijab in Islam.

One day a sheikh with his wife in Hijab and a non Muslim were traveling together in the train.
The non Muslim asked the sheikh: "Why do you people cover your wife from head to toe?"
The sheikh started thinking… suddenly he took a fruit from his pocket cut it half with knife.
The sheikh asked the non Muslim: "Do you know what this is?"
The non Muslim responded: "hmmm…yum yum…Yes I know, this is fruit.
The sheikh then replied: "No….this is my fruit, while it was in my pocket your mouth didn’t water but as soon as I took it out and cut it, you wanted to taste it, similarly when a woman is covered from head to toe, no one will think about her but if she removes her Hijab then every one will desire her.

What is the correct Hijab of a Muslim woman? Why should we wear it and how should we wear it?

"O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (Jilbab) all over their bodies (i.e. screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful" [Noble Quran 33:59]

The reason for women to cover is clearly stated here by Allah the Almighty as a form of protection. And in the following verse from the Quran it is clear who women are allowed to be uncovered around.

"And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and guard their private parts from sin and not show of their adornment except only that which is apparent, and draw their head covers over their necks and bosoms and not reveal their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands’ fathers, their sons, their husbands’ sons, their brothers, or their brothers’ sons, or their sisters’ sons, or their women (i.e., their sisters in Islam), or their female slaves whom their right hands possess, or old male servants free of physical desires, or small children who have no sense of women’s nakedness. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And turn unto Allah altogether, O you Believers, in order that you may attain success." [Noble Quran 24:31]

The Messenger (Peace be upon him) said: "Allah curses those men who imitate the women, and He curses those women who imitate the men."

Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said: "The man who resembles a woman and the woman who resembles a man is not from us"

Crying of the tree

"Narrated Hadrat Jabir bin ‘Abdullah (Rady Allahu ‘Anh): The Prophet used to stand by a tree or a date-palm on Friday. Then the Ansari woman or man said, "O Allah’s Apostle! Shall we make a pulpit for you?" He replied, "If you wish." So they made a pulpit for him and when it was Friday, he proceeded towards the pulpit (for delivering the sermon). The date-palm cried like a child! The Prophet (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa Sallam) descended (the pulpit) and embraced it while it continued moaning like a child being quietened. The Prophet (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa Sallam) said, "It was crying for (missing) what it used to hear of religious knowledge given near to it." (Bukhari)"

Hadith-e-Nabwi # 29

I heard Abu Abdillah Ja’far b. Muhammad, peace be upon him, say:
"By Allah, you ought to realize that you are following the religion of Allah and His angels; so help us to that end by being pious and by (strenuous) effort (to remain steadfast). It is your duty to always establish prayers and be worshipping. It is your duty to remain pious."
— Al-Amali, 32nd assembly

Splitting of the moon.

"Narrated Hadrat Anas (Rady Allahu ‘Anh) that the people of Makkah requested Allah’s Apostle (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa Sallam) to show them a miracle and he showed them the splitting of the moon. (Bukhari)"

Hadith-e-Nabwi # 28

In Rauzat al-Vaezeen it is narrated that a man asked the Prophet of God (a.s) to inform him about good ethics. He said:
"Forgive whoever has oppressed you, establish ties with whoever has cut off his relations with you, forgive whoever has deprived you, and tell the truth even if it is not to your benefit."
— Mishkat-ul-Anwar, On Patience and Controlling Ones Anger

Hadith-e-Nabwi # 27

The Holy Prophet [s] said:
"He whose two days (of life) are the same (making no spiritual progress) is at loss."
— Bihar-ul-Anwar, vol. 71, p. 173

Angel and Satan in a man, Hadith-e-Nabwi # 24-26

Although this is the saying of Imam Al-Ghazali, but as Imam Al-Ghazali quoted three Ahadith-e-Nabwi, so the post is titled “Hadith-e-Nabwi # 24-26”

From Imam Al Ghazali (God’s peace and blessings be on him):

The thoughts that stir one’s desire are of two kinds… praiseworthy, and that is called "inspiration" (ilham), and blameworthy, and that is called "whispering" (waswasa)… The heart is owned mutually by a shaytan and an angel… The angel stands for a creature which God has created for the overflowing of benefit, the bestowal of knowledge, the unveiling of truth, the promise of reward, and the ordering of the good… The shaytan stands for a creature whose business is to be against all this… Waswasa against ilham, shaytan against angel, success (tawfiq) against disappointment (khidhlan).

The Prophet (s) said: "There are two impulses in the soul, one from an angel which calls towards good and confirms truth; whoever finds this let him know it is from God and praise Him. Another impulse comes from the enemy which leads to doubt and denies truth and forbids good; whoever finds this, let him seek refuge in God from the accursed devil." Then he recited the verse: "The devil shows you fear of poverty and enjoins evil upon you" (2:268) [Tirmidhi: hasan; Nisa’i; `Iraqi did not weaken it].

Hasan al-Basri said: "Two thoughts roam over the soul, one from God, one from the enemy. God shows mercy on a servant who settles at the thought that comes from Him. He embraces the thought that comes from God, while he fights against the one from his enemy. To illustrate the heart’s mutual attraction between these two powers the Prophet (s) said: "The heart of a believer lies between two fingers of the Merciful" [Muslim, Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah]… The fingers stand for upheaval and hesitation in the heart… If man follows the dictates of anger and appetite, the dominion of shaytan appears in him through idle passions [hawa] and his heart becomes the nesting-place and container of shaytan, who feeds on hawa. If he does battle with his passions and does not let them dominate his nafs, imitating in this the character of the angels, at that time his heart becomes the resting-place of angels and they alight upon it…

The Prophet (s) said: "There is none among you in whom there is not a devil" [Muslim]… The mutual repelling of the soldiers of the angels and the devils is constant in the battle over the heart, until the heart is conquered by one of the two sides which sets up its nation and settles there… And most hearts have been seized by the soldiers of shaytan, who fill them with the whispers that call one to love this passing world and disregard the next.

The Christian Who Loved Imam Hussain (a.s)

We find today that many Christians sympathize with us more than so called Muslims. Here is an example in history of a Christian who Had more respect for our beloved Imam than a man who claimed to be Muslim Yazeed L.A.

Respect Shown By Christians to Jesus (‘a)

1. It is reported that Zayn al-‘Abidín (‘a) said, “When the head of al-Husayn was brought to Yazíd, he convened sessions for wine drinking and had the head of al-Husayn brought, placed before him and he would drink wine in front of it.
One day, a messenger from the king of Rum was present at one such session of Yazíd, and he was one of the nobles and greats of Rum. He said, “O King of the Arabs! Whose head is this?” Yazíd said to him, “What is this head to you?” He said, “When I return to our king, he will ask me about everything I saw. So, I would like to report to him about the story of this head and its owner so that our king may share in your joy and happiness.” Yazíd said, “This is the head of al-Husayn ibn ‘Alí ibn Abu Tàlib.” The man from Rum said, “Who is his mother?” He said, “Fàtimah the daughter of the Messenger of Allah.”
The Christian said, “Fie on you and on your religion! I have a religion better than yours. Verily, my father is one of the descendents of David, and there are many generations between David and my father. But the Christians honor me and take some of the earth from beneath my feet as a blessing because of my father, as one of the descendents of David. But you kill the son of the daughter of the Messenger of Allah, while between them there is only one mother! What sort of religion do you have?” Then he said to Yazíd, “Have you heard the story of the Church of the Hoof?” He said to him, “Tell it to me so I can hear it.” He said, “There is a sea between Oman and China that it takes a year to cross. Along the way there is no inhabited place except one city in the middle of the water. It is eighty by eighty farsangs. There is no city on the earth bigger than it, and camphor and emeralds are brought from it. Its trees are aloes wood and ambergris. It is in the hands of the Christians. No king has sovereignty over it except them. There are many churches in that city. The biggest of them is the Church of the Hoof. There is a small golden box in its sanctuary in which is hung a hoof. They think this is the hoof of a donkey that Jesus used to ride. They decorated the area around the box with gold and silk brocade. Every year many Christians make a pilgrimage to it and walk around it, kiss it, and offer their supplications to Allah, the Exalted.
This is their manner and habit regarding the hoof of the donkey they think Jesus, their prophet, used to ride. And you kill the son of your prophet’s daughter!? Then Allah does not bless you and your religion.” Yazíd said, “Kill this Christian so that he cannot expose me in his cities.” When the Christian realized this, he said to him, “Do you want to kill me?” He said, “Yes.” He said, “Know that I saw your prophet last night in my dreams. He said to me, ‘O Christian! You are of the people of heaven!’ I was surprised by what he said to me. Now I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah (‘s).” Then he jumped to the head of al-Husayn, embraced it, began to kiss it and cried until he was killed.”
